Here's my list:
- I have never gone scuba diving, I wouldn't be able to breath, believe me the experience would just be one big underwater panic attack!!( breathing only thru my mouth while my nose is covered makes me claustrophobic)
- Although many of my neighbors swear they are all delicious I have never eaten dear, rabbit, squirrels and wild turkey. I still prefer my meat from the market and firmly wrapped with cellophane.
- I have never belonged to any church other than the church I was born into, Catholic. That being said I do really enjoy visiting church's of other denominations when invited by friends and neighbors.
- I have never been to the opera or seen a ballet. I have been to the theater and to many many concerts but that's the extent of my live on stage experiences.
- I have never been to the top of the Empire State Building; pretty sad for a New Yorker right? All I can say is the line was always too long and I didn't want to wait!!
- I have never gotten a tattoo although I like them on others especially if they're simply designed. Matthew (my son) has one on his upper arm it's the Asian symbols for older sister and younger brother- very nice simple and understated tribute to his sister and brother.
- I have never been on snow skiing. I did go on a trip where there was supposed to be skiing, never did make it to the slopes though! Might have been a party involved. What kind of party, you might ask? My room-mate and old high school girl friend woke up the next morning and her mattress was missing from our hotel room and she had been sleeping on it!!
- I've never been divorced!
- There are 39 states in the US that I have never visited.
- I have never met any of my blog friends person yet! But I'm hopeful :)
Now I'd like to tag some of my friends and give them the option to play along if they'd like.

I hope you get to meet a blog buddy in person one day. I have gotten to meet a few and it was soooo cool. An unforgettable experience. Amazing how well you get to know and be friends through blogs.
ReplyDeleteOH.NO.NO.NO! You did NOT just tag me for this. I freeze like an igloo trying to talk about myself. I like knowing more about others, but... nonononono, this would be extreme torture for me.
ReplyDeleteI think we were separated a birth! I'm claustrophobic too. Would never eat the stuff in #2. I'm Catholic, too, but have an ecumenical spirit. Same on the Empire state blg., tatooing, skiing, and divorce. I've been to a few more states, and I've been to ballet, but not opera. I'm glad you didn't tag me, b/c I'd write the same stuff! HA!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I will play along later on the weekend - for now, let me tell you: the time to go to the top of the ESB is around midnight. My brother and I went up there about three years ago. We had no intention of standing in line to go to the top but he had heard that there was no line in the middle of the night (I think it stays open until around 2 am?). We had gone to see Jersey Boys and decided on a lark to see if it was true about no line at night -- TRUE! It was a fast track to the top - and, of course, the view was awesome!
ReplyDeleteHope you make it to the opera and the ballet someday. I also hope you get the chance to visit more states.
ReplyDeleteI live an hour from the city, I should really make a point of doing one or the other this holiday season.
DeleteAnd as much as I know all our country has to offer my problem is I tend to be drawn to the States with beaches!!
I haven't done a lot of things myself. Due to my fear of heights and drowning, I have no desire to go to the top of the Empire State Building or scuba dive.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think about what list will look like!
Our nevers are pretty comparable but I finally met a blogging friend ;-) I hope to meet many more. Any why did I think you were in PA? I'll think on my list of nevers to see if I can come up with something different. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEverytime I read one of these more of my "never haves" are taken. Like you I have never gone scuba diving or eaten anything wild never had a tattoo although I like them and nearest I have been to New York was in the airport waiting for a changeover flight, but if you lived there it makes it worse. My aunt lived in London her whole life and never watched changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace ,a main tourist attraction.I have met up with two blog friends which was lovely .
ReplyDeleteYou would have to go see phantom of the opera. It's not really opera but it is a really good show. It's my favourite.
ReplyDeleteTimeless and ageless I hear. My mom listens to the music all the time and she seen it a half a dozen times!
DeleteLike I said this holiday season I'm gonna try to see something, not sure what's in town!
I always wonder what it would be like to see one of you guys, blogging friend's, in person. Game, to eat = Yuck! Can't wait to do this when I get home from NYC!
ReplyDeleteI'm BACK!!!! YES, and it does feel good! Now, to comment on your post. Jen you have never been to the top of the Empire State? WOW! You should have volunteered to go on some school field trips. Going to see the Empire State Building and the Little Red Light House was a requirement to graduate elementary school in the Bronx! (just kidding) lol The rest of your list is what my answers would be as well. I would ♥ to meet some blogger friends though. Definitely, a bucket list add-on.
ReplyDeleteYey! I missed you, computer problems are such a drag.
DeleteI don't think we ever did that many trips to NYC from Long Island. Oh well :( And I moved south a long time ago too so... Who knows Sonya I'll get there one of these days and then I'll write a post about it!!
I'm with you on the scuba diving. I have gone snorkeling, but even that freaked me out. I don't like fish that have the potential to eat me for breakfast.
