Ava at the park... |
And if that wasn't enough..then just before Labor Day a bunch of others arrived; my sons, daughter, son in law, other grandchildren. and cousins and dogs arrived; may of whom are from other states and stayed for days.

I wanted to come on and say hi. Write a quick post today since I feel kind of bad that I've neglected all of my blog relationships and this blog. I even lost a follower; my first...boohoo :(
Anyhoo, my house is as back to normal as it is ever going to be, just wanted to let you know I'm back!
Hi Jen! I'm glad to see you enjoying so much family time. Don't worry about the lack of posts. All blogs ebb and flow! I know mine will flow more on cold winter nights when there are less outdoor activites to keep me away from the computer! :) Angela
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela your very sweet and we did have a good time.
DeleteAs far as the blog; I doubt I could have put two words together that didn't include "story time" or "temper tantrum" while Ava was here. And I really wanted to give her all my attention.
It feels good being back!
I'm glad you focused your time in summer where it counts - on the people near and dear to you. :)
ReplyDeleteAs you said, breaks are good. Plus, family is more fun, especially 4 year old kids with really cute curly hair! How can you blog when there's a bubble party? I couldn't.
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't do for a few of those curls!!
ReplyDeleteWe might have had a dance party or two in that very same location; anyone who tried to pass thru the kitchen had to join!
And quiet, till next time.
My blogging has taken a backseat to life this summer as well! While I miss the written word, I wouldn't change those memories for anything. Looks like a fun time Jen!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun Jackie, I gladly give up my place in front of my laptop for good times with the family as well.
DeleteGood looking grandchildren. Looking at Ava I had a flashback. I started staying with my grandparents all summer when I was four. I lived with them for my first grade year so that I could start at age five. Wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteAren't they but then I'm partial!!
DeleteAva, Bill and I had a good time, lots of bonding and special time!!
I know you know...
Good for you. Jen! You have your priorities lined up just right! People first! and such beautiful family members - curls and smiles and colors - you are lucky! I;m glad you got that time with family - Ava is adorable and Adam and Emmanuel look to be about my favorite age and size of kid!
ReplyDeleteWe love to be together! And the kids are adorable,Ava's a little pistol, Emanuel I believe is gonna grow up to be another (we have a few) family chef, and Adam, he's the witty one, smart and handsome, loves to read and has his Uncle Eric's shoulders!
DeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteLove your family photos <3

DeleteLooks like you've had an amazing time with your family. Don't feel guilty about neglecting the blog every now and then. Breaks are good sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteReal life first...blogging later. We'll wait for you! :)
ReplyDeleteI bet you could actually hear the silence after all had left!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have Jen! But hey, you know that already!
Hey we win one and we lose one....that is 'bloggerland'.
