live in the sunshine

I've missed this link up for the past two weeks and I'm sorry that I did. There was a short trip for a  St Patty's Day celebration and I've been miserable with allergies because of all the pollen in the air here. It took about a week for me to get enough medication into my system after I got back from my trip so that I could actually breathe.

Anyhoo,  I love looking for great quotes reading others, it's so much darn fun. Well I'm back this week and thinking about vacation actually...can't you tell by my picture! I know rushing it right? It's been almost 90 degree's here a few days this week so I'm thinking beach, really can you blame me? I don't know about you but we've already have a house rented for our vacation this summer; a family vacation timed so that we can celebrate  my son Matthew's thirtieth birthday.

Family, beach, water, sunshine...that's where I'll be, what about you? Any plans for the summer yet?  Are you having vacation or a stay-cation?

Linking up with Bits of Bee today.

  1. oh, I love a good nature quote by Emerson!
For our family, it's the Starlight Hotel all the way every summer. Camping with 3 children definitely has it challenges, but nothing beats sun and water during the day, and a relaxing bonfire with smores to close the day.
and of course, some libation and mommy/daddy time by the fire when the very tired kids are all tucked in their sleeping bags. it's a lovely thing.

  2. Man, you got the life!
But yes, we'll be hitting the beach at my Mom's place this Summer. She'll be there all Summer this year so I'm not sure how many times I'll actually go down. But, she'll have my kids a lot and I'll have great stay-cations!

  3. Staycations for us - that's a really nice thing about living so close to the beach, why would we want to go anywhere else? :)

  5. Oh, how I miss the beach!
We went last year and I wish we were going again... I am trying to come up with short mini-trips for this year, but the husband isn't jumping on board.

    1. Trips can be difficult with little ones as I remember! I'm sure when the time comes he'll be up for some fun in the sun...

  6. Great quote Jen! There really is nothing as great as the beach! We're about an hour away from the shore and our first trip of the season comes on Easter. We spend the day in Ocean City on the boardwalk. Best Easter tradition around!

  11. That picture looks lovely and I love that quote. We're at the beach, but here in Oregon, the beach means wind. I'll take it anyway....I love the ocean. :) I'm from San Diego, so we always take a road trip down there in the summer. I'm looking forward to the warmth!
