This week for Mama Kat's Pretty Much World Famous Writer's Work Shop I picked the prompt in which I have to write a love letter to an inanimate object.
So here goes....
Dear,
Love of my nights.
I love your softness.
The way you feel against my skin.
You caress my face as I breathe in your freshness.
The pain I feel when you're not near is physical.
We're a perfect fit.
I cannot imagine getting thru a single night without you....
How I long to wrap my arms around you as I drift off to sleep.
I hurt without you.
I ache without you.
Especially my back and neck!
My dear soft lovely pillow.
That was fantastic! Good job!
ReplyDeleteFYI, I am a Follower but you are not showing up in my Reader. Thanks for the reminder.
I'll save you as a Favorite and then I'll be reminded to come back.
m.
Thanks Mark,
ReplyDeleteYou had a problem with following in the first place if i remember right? And I even had a problem with my feedburner feed and had to delete it burn it again.
I might suggest removing yourself from my followers list and re- following that might reset your reading list and then I'll show up.
It's worth a try right?
But i do like the idea of being in "your favorites" just saying!

I enjoyed your love letter, which is similar to mine, except I wrote about my bed. We both must be fond of sleep!
ReplyDeleteJerralea,
ReplyDeletePillow- bed you're so right, who can function without sleep? Not me!
Jen
I am jealous. As a new mom I straight up miss everything I used to love about the night. Mainly sleep. My pillow eludes me;) Congrats on 31 years of marriage. You rock!
ReplyDeleteOh Jen!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
I love my pillow, now if I could write a dislike letter I'd be disliking my hormones; since lately they do tend to keep me from the object of my affection!
I love this! My SIL gave me a pillow which I thought I would hate but it turned out to be the best pillow I ever had! Now I kind of wish I had written a love letter to my pillow instead of baby lotion LOL
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Mama Kat's
This reminded me of how I feel about my body pillow...which has been missing for over a year. How does that even happen?
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Mama Kat's
Glad you enjoyed it Kathy. It was a toss up between my pillow and my sandals. The pillow sounded a bit more romantic then foot wear if you know what i mean :)
ReplyDeleteRobbie,
ReplyDeleteI won't even let my husband use my pillow, I know if he mistakenly has mine.
Missing oh the horror!!!
I wish that I could write a love letter to my pillow, but right now, I'm looking for a newer model!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by from Mama Kat's...
I don't envy you! Good luck with that and thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteThis post so reminded me of my big pregnancy pillow that my husband dubbed "the force field" because he couldn't get near me when I snuggled with it!
ReplyDeleteI swear if I had a pregnancy pillow they'd be no room in the bed for my husband. I was huge!
ReplyDeleteI would write a similar post about my flannel sheets right now ... sweet, comfortable bliss! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Morgan you are so right, flannels can be freekin awesome on a cold day, even better if you have a great pillow!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I didn't expect you were talking about your pillow. That's cute!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried the memory foam pillows? Oh my happiness.
Really! Maybe I'll have to flirt with infidelity! I'm about feeling a need for a change :)
