when can small be a good thing?

When I think about his quote I can't help but think of my husband. He's the guy who is always helping the adorable little old ladies in the grocery store get things off the top shelf. He calls them darlin and talks sweetly to them and gives them a little attention.

But of course this quote means many things and can mean much much more. What does it mean to you?

Linking up with Bits of Bee today.

  1. Sweet quote and corresponding photo. I had to take Christopher to the doc this morning. There was a new mom there and receptionist let her know that she need to be at the well clinic not the sick clinic. I remembered that happening to me. It doesn't seem like a big deal now just looking at her. But I remember that it was hard to get out of the house. It was cold, she had to bundle up the baby. Carry in the heavy carrier then understand where she needed to walk to the correct office. You don't have the brain to be able to understand simple instructions. So my caring was to step outside and show her where she needed to go.

  4. this quote is true! I think of my husband too (very lucky for me and you!!)...when we first got married 28 yrs ago, I would get mad at hime b/c he was always going soo out of his way for people that I thought "didn't matter"...of course I learned a lot in 28 yrs!! The small things are really big things.
Hope you have a happy evening!

  5. I love this quote!

To me, it fits perfectly into my value for the month--service. When we do the little things, we are serving.

  6. Ok. So... this quote makes me think of you. Well, you and all my blogging friends. Because you all expect nothing from me. You read - you comment - you love me back from a ledge when I need it. Great quote.

  7. great quote! it makes me think of those countless small moments in a day where we have the chance, and the choice of how we respond to life. will we respond with love and kindness, or are we too caught up in our own hurry and worry to see the opportunity to make a difference for someone else?
There are probably many moments that pass us by that had such great potential for change, but our eyes were on another prize.
