cultivating a more creative me

"C"
I still have the same friends that I've had since I was young. I've always thought that said something about the type of person I am, loyal and steady. I've also found immense pleasure in writing a personal journal...... just a few tidbits about me.  I've actually come to learn few related things about myself; things I've learned while blogging! Which brings me to my "C" word.....
cultivate verb
  • to foster the growth
  • to seek the society of : make friends with
If I asked myself... How has my life been enhanced and what skills have I cultivated since I've started blogging?

My answer would be this.....

  • For me blogging has given me an opportunity to cultivate a more open attitude and to express myself more freely using the written word and not be afraid to share it.....
  • And  by using my camera I now have a way of cultivating a more creative me; by adding my pictures to my regular blog posts.
  • But what I love most of all is that it's given me the ability to cultivate some really great friendships.
What about you? How has you life been enhanced and what skills have you cultivated since you've started blogging?

  1. Blogging has definitely helped me cultivate my skill in meeting a deadline. When I know I have to post on a certain day, I'll actually get the writing done. And writing more often has improved my skill in writing.

  2. The very reason I signed up for the A-to-Z Challenge: to cultivate the habit of writing regularly and to cultivate online friends.

  3. I love that it has cultivated friendships because that is how I found YOU! :) Blogging has given me a place for me to put my words down and a place to keep my writing. I love that about blogging and then of course there is the bonus of meeting awesome friends!!

  4. Blogging has helped me spell better. Does that count?
But beyond that, blogging forces me to take photos of and keep a journal for my children so that they have something to look back on.

  7. I started blogging to keep my family in the US up to date... then I met some really great friends... and now I keep it us, as a sort of online diary.. .. I hope my kids will be able to look back and see how crazy I am about them & remember some of the fun things we have done together. :-)

  8. Good post Jen! Cultivating....I started blogging to help me recover from a serious concussion. It did. It got me talking to people, writing, photographing everything, thinking about things I never thought of before....like goats!! lol....expressing myself and learning to spell again. So yes, it has cultivated me and I am happy to be part of this blogisphere!

  10. I love how you expressed the growth and changes in your life with the word "cultivated". What a perfect word to use to show growth as a person. I've written about self-improvement a lot, it's important to me the older I get. I want to learn and do as much as I can while I can. Enjoying your A-Z posts.

    1. It's my inner gardener coming out Elizabeth! I was mentioning to another person who commented in an e-mail that we just planted our veggie garden today, so cultivation is on my mind in more ways than one!

  11. There is nothing like old friends. I will agree that it shows how we value those who know us so well. I love the word you chose for "C" and what you cultivated because of "We're Living A Full LIfe".

I have thoroughly enjoyed all the interaction and bonds I have created through my blog...including meeting you!

  13. cultivate--I love just saying that word!

I think blogging has made me more aware. I see everyday events as something worth recording.

And of course I have cultivated some great friendships with people like you--people I likely would have never met otherwise!

  17. Oh I love that blogging has allowed me to "cultivate" many friendships.
In fact I met one and have skyped with several. Having been diagnosed with a mental illness, these people understand me and my struggles.
