X marks the spot

Well folks this A-Z Challenge really has moved along hasn't it? It's hard to believe we're already up to the letter "X". This really is the most difficult letter in my opinion so one must get creative.

Speaking of creative where is it that you do you're best writing for your blog or book or novella or poetry?

Today "X" marks the spot......  the spot where I've where I've written each and every blog post for this challenge, my spot where I always sit with my laptop.

Where is that spot where you do your writing? I have sat on the couch with my laptop on my lap, with the TV in the back round and written each and every post for this challenge.

I do not sit at a desk, nor do I care to sit at the dinning room table.  If were to I listen to music, I'd find myself singing not writing so music is out! TV is easy to ignore oddly enough.

Tell me, where do you write? And what conditions make for a more creative you. Quiet, noise, music, desk top, laptop. What's your perfect location?

Where do you create your treasure trove of words to share with all of us, your blog friends?

  1. I'm trapped in the basement with my kids and all of their friends screaming all around me. It's hell I tell ya! Still, I'm able to get the photos loaded into my posts. But I have to wait until they leave to get any writing done.
You're almost done with your challenge!
    Have a great weekend.
    Your Friend, m.

  2. I'm parked at my desk on a desktop computer. When I had a laptop I roamed through the house often landing in the backyard or on the couch! ~ Angela, Whole Foods Living, http://www.wholefoodsliving.blogspot.com/

  3. I'm back and forth between the desktop and the laptop. Ideal environment is music in the background, but sometimes its' FOX news. Or the food channel. :-)

  4. I'm supposed to be in my office, but it's too damn cold in there. Chicago weather has been sucking lately. So I'm parked in the living room. Which is okay when my husband shuts up. He's worst than my kids.

  5. I write in the study on the computer sitting in a God awful chair (must get a more comfy one but I'm used to it). I need the quiet and nothing in the background but the sounds from outside. I agree with music, I would just sing or get a song stuck in my head.

    I can't believe you're at X already!

  6. It's amazing how this month has flown by...for me I write in our front den at my computer with no music or other noise going on. I don't really even care for background noise because I like to hear my words speak to me as they are floating onto the page!

  7. I like to be alone. hahaha...every 5 minutes I hear, "mom! mom?" so now I have to wait until they go to school to write...and I kind of urge them to go a little earlier everyday.

  8. I have to sit at our computer desk in the basement to actually access my blog. our laptop battery is dead as a doornail, so I cannot work remote anymore. But our desk is beside the fireplace, so it's actually kinda nice at night when the house is quiet.
But I always, always have a notebook and pencil in my purse so that I can write down anything that inspires me or catches my fancy wherever I am. And one by the bedside. and the kitchen table. LOL
sounds very dilligent..but really, it's just my memory is horrid! LOL

  10. Believe it or not I don't use a laptop, have to have a desktop so of course I have to have a desk too. Mine is a built in desk in the kitchen currently. It's convenient while cooking, doing laundry etc. but there is always someone lurking over my shoulder. It drives me crazy! It's so hard to concentrate!!

  11. Sometimes I jot things down in a notebook, or type on a desktop. It all depends on where I am. Just yesterday when I was at an appointment, I asked the woman at the front desk for some paper, and I began writing my "Y" post. eXcellent choice for "X."
